"Boys ages 9 to 14 charged with gang-raping 8-year-old girl in Phoenix"

SubhanAllah, an 8 year old gang raped by mere pre-teens?! This is just so disgusting! Kids that age should be obsessing over video games, not making wretched plots like this. What saddens me more about this is the girls father told authorities "take her, I don't want her" claiming that she's brought shame to their family with what happened. She brought shame to her family? She was brutally victimized! She's just a kid! How can a parent say that to their child, in their presense, after she's been through something so traumatizing?? I wanted to cry after reading this! This poor, little girl doesn't even have the people she thought loved her the most right now to hold her and console her. Allah help us all! Ameen

Check out the article here.

May Allah swt protect us and our family from such things.
And her family is ASHAMED? WTH?! The father's right take her away, they don't deserve her (although the mother might want her) those boys should get some therapy, being put in a detention center is going to do crap unless they get help.

the mother does not want her either! i saw her on the news just tonight. that is so sad i hope she has other family around to give her love. sometimes the love of strangers is stronger this is a horrid nightmare for anyone, esp. a girl so young

That really is so disgusting. I feel so sad that she doesn't even have her parents there to help her. To feel ashamed about this?! That is disgusting too. They should be ashemed of themselves!

Majda.. the poeple involved were from liberia...in liberia 40% christian and 20% muslim the rest hindu buddhist and all that jazz, i dont know if they r muslim but its more the african culture (or in this cas west african) say women bring the rape on themselves no matter what religion what age.. they shame the family.

OMG! My kids are this age and still play together with boys their age because they're young. Now we need to separate boys and girls before they reach elementary school because they know too much by then! I cannot believe this, we have to watch our kids very carefully. I let my girls go to the park across the street alone to play but not anymore!!!!
Amin to everyones prayers as well

Salam aleikom,

It doesn't matter the age. Read the dua of placing children under Allah's protection. Children have been raped as young as 1 week old ! >_< the earliest i remember is being 3 yrs. old. Stay close to Allah, and seek His protection. I'm not trying to scare ne one. Speaking from my own xpierence.

Poor little girl is only 8! Not only will she have emotional scars from this and probably have a hard time getting married and being sexually trusting of any man someday, but she will have trouble trusting anyone since her own family rejected her. I would adopt her if our family had the means. I know I didn't have any concept of sex at that age, and I don't think that any kid should have. SubhanAllah what is this world coming to? It makes me so protective of my daughter its not even funny.

Assalam-alaikam Sister,
astaghfirullah, this is heart-breaking. This child's father is not fit to be a father. When I read the article I just wished I could just hold this poor child.
